Hi all. It's been quite some time since I've sent out a newsletter. I don't like to send out too many or you won't read them :). In the past 6 months, 99% of leagues in Cases have experienced a downfall, particularly pool leagues. This includes PL, however we have remained in the top 50 leagues in cases each week with our tournament numbers and top 15 in pool leagues. Cases leagues, as a whole, experience ups and downs as far as activity. We've ranged from 10 tourneys a day to 120 a day steadily in our lowest of lows and highest of highs. In all of Cases, 99% of the leagues have seen a downfall in the past 6 months. I'm pleased to say we have just had one of our lows and we're steadily rising to reach another high point. We need your help with this though. Often times we have a TD willing to host but only 2 or 3 jumpers in the room. Whether you are are a current active member or someone who hasn't played in awhile, stop in and play a few with us. Here are some updates in regards to the league, please read as all of it...okay most of it..is important!
- PURCHASING A MEMBERSHIP - As always, Cases is offering Gold, Platinum and Diamond memberships to be purchased. Incentives include increased ladderbux, more donation bux available and more donations allowed for TD's. If you have a few extra bucks laying around, look into it. And if you don't? MyLeague is pleased to introduce a new method of obtaining premium
memberships for those members who want to keep premium status, but who cannot
afford to purchase an account.
The TrialPay allows users to obtain Gold memberships for FREE, simply
by completing an additional offer. These offers range from credit card
applications to media purchases to website subscriptions. When you complete
the additional offer, you will receive a free Gold membership for the League
of your choice. Basically, this allows users to complete an offer that they
may have been planning to purchase anyway and obtain a free Gold membership
in addition to it.
To utilize the new TrialPay offers, simply go to the "Buy Membership" page,
select a "Gold Membership" as the one you want to buy, and choose "TrialPay"
as your payment type. From there, you can follow the on-screen prompts to
obtain your membership. These TrialPay-obtained memberships cannot be gifted,
and must be obtained by the user who will actually be using the account."
- TOURNEY DIRECTORS - Simple enough, we need and want more TD's. You can be experienced on inexperienced. If you have 50 games in the league or more PLEASE put in a TD application. You don't have to host 10 a day. If we get 10 new td's who host 2 a week, thats 20 more tourneys a week that we didn't have before. Small contributions and teamwork can lead to major contributions. Also, Nise and Chelle have offered 1,000 bux from each of them for any TD that can outhost them in any particular month. See TD forum for more details. Put an application in today!!!
- INTERLEAGUE UPDATE - In MLP, we are currently in 2nd place with a 9-3 record. There are 2 weeks remaining in the regular season. In the BLT points we are 3rd overall. Tournaments are SUndays @ 7pm. We welcome any PL member to represent us no matter the skills level, as long as their attitude and sportsmanship uphold our reputation. In PRO interleague, ths season starts THIS SUNDAY with a 5pm kickoff tourney. PRO matches are a 5v5 bo9 format once a week and PRO has 1 tournament a day (alternates betweens 5pm and 11pm). Again, anyone is welcome to join PRO for PL as long as they rep us well. See sexxxy_luckydog17 or darkinc87, your interleague captains, for an invitation or questions regarding interleagues.
- MARATHON DAY - Our most recent Marathon produce 55 tournaments with Nise leading the way with 15. Good job and let's beat it on October 25th.
- HTD/TD OF MONTH - Congrats my_paper_is.crooked for winnnig with 32 tournaments and miz.chiev_ous with 24 tournaments in the month of September. They both received 500 ladderbux and a 200 point league rating boost. Can they defend their titles in October?
- TOURNAMENT RULES - Remember you can find ALL the tournament rules that every single TD follows at www.poollegends.com/coc . This is linked at the top of the PL page too. PL uses this universal set of rules so every single person knows the rules before the tournament begins.
