Hello all. Hope everyone is having a great 2009 year. PL is going through some heavy changes in regards to staff that we think will get us back on track and make 2009 our best year yet. Let's get right to the changes!

ADMIN STAFF - We would like to welcome my_paper_is.warped to the admin staff. AJ has earned his promotion through hard work, hosting in the early AM, and being completely loyal to PL for over 3 years. Also, I would like to thank Kelley (pink) for all of her hard work as an Admin in the past as she has stepped down due to real life busyness. Congrats AJ and thank you Kelley.

ADMIN PLEDGE - Every single admin you see listed in PL today has taken a pledge. A pledge to give their dedication, commitment and 100% effort to help get PL back on top. We are still a good league, average, but will not settle for average. We want to be the best. You will see an improved effort from everyone, as their work/life schedule allows. Also, more frequent PL page updates.

BAD BEHAVIOR - We would like to point out that if you get boxed, we always base it upon concrete proof. This would be a screenshot either an admin took or a member sent in. We are more than willing to back up our claims with a SS. Within a few days we will be placing a statement on the league rules saying "If you are boxed for bad behavior and wish to see the screenshoot proof, find an admin within 3 days of boxing." We have always done this but have not exactly made it well known so now we are to ensure you we do not "play favorites".

ROOM CONFUSION - There are times in Yahoo Pool when it is not possible to play in your home room for various reasons. During these times, we will ALWAYS be playing in a different room. We will NEVER EVER take no action and sit around or delete the league or any of that. We will always move to a different room to host. You can always simply ask an admin what room and get a link if needed. As of now, we are hosting in ATL as I write this. That could change in an hour, tomorrow, or never. Rest assured, if we arent in ATL, we're in another room. Find an admin and ask where we are.

HTD'S & NEW HTD RULE - 3 HTD's have been removed due to inactiveness. We have also put in a new rule, a leniant one, that states a HTD must host a minimum of 5 tournaments in a month or they will receive a warning letter. After a warning letter, if they do it again for any month, they will be removed. One warning and then you are gone. 5 t's is not a lot to ask for but it will be the bare minimum to reduce the super idle HTD's. They earned their spot and they need to keep it now. We are tired of the lazyness.

TD'S - We removed over 10 TD's due to idlenes. We are going to start enforcing the 30 day idle rule. Any TD over 30 days idle risks being removed. This includes new and old ones. 1 tournament a month is so freakin' easy. Of course, if you need a vacation due to real life/personal things we can place you on vacation and you won't be remove. To do this, we need communication from you!!! We are currently seeking TD's and to enable this process to speed up we have changed the minimum required games from 50 to 20 for a member to be able to apply to be a TD.

WEEKLIES - We have changed/switched/updated our weeklies. We've added a Forbidden Pocket weekly and moved the 2v2 to a different day. A few other changes. The updated schedule is now on the webpage! Weeklies are always at 9pm daily.

INTERLEAGUES - The MLP interleague season begins on Sunday, Feb. 8th with the kickoff tournament at 7pm. Link is http://cgi8.igl.net/tourney/mlp/98236/ mlp kickoff tournament - sunday @ 7pm. Be there! Our max is 15 allowed in so everyone is welcome. Need an invite? Ask sexxxy_luckydog17 or darkinc00. PRO is in the offseason currently.

HTD/TD OF THE MONTH AWARDS - Congrats to Wolftickkets for winning January's HTD of the Month award and alliwantisabeernablowjob for winning the TD of the Month award. They both hosted the most tournaments for a HTD and TD. Both received 500 bux and a 200 league rating boost! Can you outdo these two? Send in an app!! Also, we have put an addition on to this award. If you win back-to-back months, you get 1,000 bux and 250 rating points. Can Wolf and Paul do it again and earn the bigger reward?

ADDITIONAL MONTHLY AWARDS - We have added two awards for all members to win. First, we've added a Tourney Winner Of The Month" award. This award will go to the person who wins the mos"t tournaments each month. That person receives a 3 point league rating boost PER win. So if Joe Schmo wins the most tournaments with 40 wins, he would receive a league rating increase of 120. The more wins - they more rating. Our Second award will be the "PL Contributor Of The Month" award. This award can go to any non-admin. It could be a TD who worked hard this month, had a bunch of league spams we noticed. It could be a HTD who was overworked and did a great job. More than likely, it will be a regualr ole' member who contributed the MOST. This could be by helping new members, jumping when a 4th is needed, donating bux to poor members, anything that is viewed upon as contributing. There's no set way to win the award for sure. Do something to get noticed!! This person receives 100 league ratin g boost!!

TOURNAMENT RULES/COC GUIDE - Please remember that ALL tournament rules are located on our COC guide which is 2 places. It is on all TD rules pages AND it is on the league page at the top. The link, which is on the league page, is www.poollegends.com/coc . A few minor adjustments have been made with the First Pocket tournament, Forbidden Pocket tournament and we added a tournament called "NO BIH". All of these changes will be up within a week as we do some updates of the COC.

PL'S 4TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION - Be sure to join us for our 4th Birthday Party on March 4th. Last year we had a major tournament with a giveaway EVERY HOUR of the day. We gave away a total of 285,000 in TD donations, four 2 month gold memberships, two 1 month diamond memberships and one 2 month diamond membership. We will be doing something similar this year but will need EVERYONE to come help us by jumping and hosting. We will begin planning this next week. You will not want to miss this!

In closing, I want to ensure you that PL is never going anywhere, nobody is quitting, and we are here to stay. Do not believe false rumors you are told.
